In the true Spiritual sense, all I need is God. Therefore, in trusting Him perfectly, I believe He will fulfill all my needs. When you fully wrap yourself in the love and with the Spirit of God; everything else appeals as junk. 

To understand how it will affect your life, think about everything you have in terms of what can be seized by the Government, thieves, creditors, banks, or the enemy. Can you ensure that any of those belongings are safe from predators. The answer is a resounding NO. 

But if you put your faith solely in the love and mercy of God, He will provide all of your needs. He will either bring it to you, give you the wisdom to receive it, or bend the will of those he chooses to favor you.

Paul gives us his "secrets" to being content in the preceding 11 verses of Philippians chapter 4.

1. Rejoice in the Lord always
Give praise to God for who he is and Give thanks for what he has done for us. Do this every day and in whatever circumstances we find ourselves.

2. Instead of being anxious about anything, in everything use prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let your requests [needs] be made known to God.

3. Experience the peace of God which guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

4. Keep thinking about those things that are pleasing to God. Whatever is true, honourable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, praiseworthy.

5. Keep practicing all the things we have learned, received and heard as part of our discipleship training.

6. Trust in God's promise that his peace will be with us.

7. In any and every circumstance we are able to be content because the peace of God is with us.

8. This contentment enables us to do all the things that God expects of us because he gives us all the strength we need.

Paul said he learned to be content. He too had to practice these things to find that contentment. We too must practice these things and that takes time. Sadly, in this instant world we live in, many Christians are unwilling to commit the time for practice. But God's promise of his peace - beyond human understanding - is waiting for everyone who will.

May you find that contentment in Christ Jesus.

HABAKKUK 1:1," Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith."

I always thought of Paul as a proud person and also very committed and loyal.

2 CORINTHIANS 11:22, " Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I.

Good reasons to be proud.

John 3:36, "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe in the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

Paul vehemently opposes the Christian movement and even held coats when having the believers killed. Acts 7:59 And chapter 8 of Acts.

In Chapter 9 of Acts, Paul has an encounter with the risen Lord! Now he really repented and changes his life! 

ANANIAS in chapter 9 of Acts is told, verse 15..."Go for this man is my chosen instrument to bring my name before Gentiles and kings and before the people of Israel.,"

Paul had an up close personal encounter with the Risen Lord!

Romans 1:16, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek."

PHILIPPIANS 1:27," Only let your conduct be worthy of the Gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the Gospel, and not terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God."

Paul, a life changed by an encounter with Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit, living by Faith! His Faith carried him through every challenge. An example for all believers of the Mighty Power of God.

PHILIPPIANS 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Final thought... In EXODUS chapter 34, Moses went up Mount Sinai and received the Ten Commandments. GALATIONS 1:16-18, Paul spent three years in Arabia, immediately after his conversion. Mount Sinai is in Arabia. I believe the Lord may have been preparing him for his ministry....The disciples spent three years walking the earth with the Lord....very interesting!
