What is the meaning of the 1,290 days in Daniel 12:11?

Does this mean we will have to wait 1,290 days for the Lord after we die to go he heaven?

Daniel 12:11

ESV - 11 And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days.

What term is 1290 days?
Numbers 14:34 “….each day for a year”
Ezekiel 4:5-6 “….each day for a year”
OT years were 360 days so to convert to solar years x.9857 which = 1271.49 solar years
Sacrifices ended in Jerusalem in 583BC + 1271.49 = 688ADWhen Khalifah Omar entered Jerusalem in 639AD, he was met at the gates by Bishop Sophronius who ushered him through the city. Seeing the temple mount (then in ruins), Omar declared that he was going to build a memorial to Muhammad on the original site of the temple of God. Sophronius exclaimed in horror, “Verily, this is the Abomination of Desolation as spoken of by Daniel the prophet”
And it now stands in the Court of the Gentiles built in 688AD on Mount Moriah,
God’s footstool.
Luke 21:24 “..and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled”.

Jerusalem has been under Gentile (Non Jewish) rule since Nebuchadnezzar in 606BC.
It came under Jewish control again in 1967.

Revelation 11:2
“But leave out the court outside the sanctuary of God: omit that, for it is given over to the Gentiles and they will trample the holy city underfoot for 42 months”

42 months x 30.44 days = 1278.5 days/years
1967AD – 1278.5 = 688.5AD

1. Two Witnesses witness in the Gentile world for 1260 days ie years
2. Identified by the Bible as two candlesticks and two olive trees.
3. Rev.1:20 identifies candlesticks as churches!
4. Rom.11:24-25 identifies olive trees as Jew and Gentile believers
The 1260 days/years started AFTER 688AD and ended in 1948 when Israel became a nation and freedom of religion was allowed. Why? Because prior to the construction of the Islamic Dome of the Rock, both Jews and Gentiles could freely worship on the Temple Mount.
In fact, Jerusalem was the home of the great Coptic Church. Only after the Islamic Jihad of the 7th Century were Christians and Jews prevented from worshiping on the site.

The 1290 days in Daniel 12:11 refer to the future time when the 7-year covenant with the 10-horned beast is in effect. When the beast breaks the covenant somewhere in the middle of the fourth year, he violates the temple in Jerusalem, and for 1290 days the temple remains desolate, but is purified afterwards.

The other numbers relating to this same time period beginning with the temple violation seem to be as follows:

1260 days - the number of days the two witnesses prophesy before being killed by the beast. Three and a half days later they revive and ascend up to heaven.(Rev.11:3)

42 months - (1277-8 days) The length of time the beast is in power before being defeated by the kings of the east. (Rev 11:2)

1335 days - the length of time until the 7-year covenant is completely over with. As a solemn agreement, many things cannot be legally begun until the seven years is over. (Dan 12:12)
