The Strong Man and who he might be: To become a doctrine, an exegesis must find two to three Bible Scriptures (witnesses) to establish a solid biblical truth. I attend a Pentecostal church, and do not believe that Satan/Lucifer/the Adversary has never been or ever will be a man (Hebrew: Adam = dirt). Satan is one of the "Sons of God," (Job) (Gen 6) who must report to God the Father as we see in Job. Adam was created by Elohim and in Gen 2.4 we find the first mention of the tetragrammaton (yud-heh-vav-heh) YHVW. often pronounced or rather, mispronounced as Jehovah or Yahweh. Orthodox Jews know better and along with the Hebrew alef/tav, associated with scriptures that point to Christ (as in Gen 2.4); the Angel of the Lord, we often view Christ in the Tenach or OT. Never will we call an immortal (though fallen angel) a man, strong or otherwise. We do not know why Lucifer and one third of the angelic host chose to rebel against God, but it might have a little to do with God the Son (being slain before the foundation of the earth to redeem fallen mankind!. All mortal homo sapiens are offspring of Adam...and suffer the wages of their sin: DEATH, unless they are born again by receiving the 2nd Adam as their Lord and Savior by faith and become true sons/daughters of God, with the Last Adam (Jesus) in them, and Yeshua ha Meschiach (Jesus the Christ) in them. No where in the bible are demons possessing or entering men, called "strong men," though when Jesus casts out the demons in men, they do demonstrate often extraordinary strength. Binding the strong man is a parable or an extended metaphor. Although in a 70-year life span, we may behave like devils and beasts. And find strength in drugs, alcohol and perverse sin, we remain just bad men: strong or weak. You must produce the examples of Satan/Lucifer/Beelzebub called "strong men" by the author of the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit--God in his creation made man (Adam) in his own image---and the fallen angels always to be the adversaries of God (Satan), given demonic names, Baal. Molech---but they will never become me. Only God can create. (bara----in Hebrew). And the fallen angels/devils/demons have one common destiny: to be thrown into the bottomless pit afer the 1000 year reign of Christ on thre throne in Jerusalem. Use your Strongs or a good interlinear bible and learn biblical Hebrew (a very easy user friendly alef-beit (alphabet))--now you know where we get the name for our English letters. Greek is a piece of cake. The LXX also is bereft of any any mention of Satan/Lucifer becoming a strong man. Any transformation toward fallen mankind would be a weakening, not a strengthing.
