Is having a tattoo cross on the forehead considered one of the marks of the beast?

I saw a woman, her adult daughter and grand daughter wearing tattoo crosses on their foreheads. Is this one of the mark of the beast? Footnotes written in Revelation 13:16 indicates that a cross on the forehead is one of the marks of the beasts for new Christians.

Revelation 13:16

NKJV - ¹⁶ He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads.
