Yes, it did. Not only do we have a strong, consistent tradition in the 4 gospels that Jesus came from Nazareth, with Luke even providing accurate geographical details (it was set on a hillside, Luke 4:29), but archaeologists have discovered homes, pottery, and coins at the site that doubtless date to the first part of the first century. I flew over and saw it in the Holy Land on a trip for pastors, teachers, and evangelists.
