In my personal opinion, there is no where in the bible where we are forbidden from seeking a doctor or using medicine.
In Mark 2:17, Jesus said "it is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick", implying that Jesus did not have a problem with sick people seeking medical treatment.
The books in the bible the "Gospel of Luke" and the "Acts of the Apostles" were both written by a medical doctor.

When we seek healing we should seek in faith knowing that God is the ultimate healer who can use doctors and medicines to bring the cure. After all, he is the one who created that hands performing the operation and he created the medicinal plants that are used to make medicines. I cannot see the possibility of the LORD regretting that "Oh no, that white willow bark tree that I made is now being misused and processed as aspirin to cure headaches." There are many instances in the bible where people of faith made poultices to break fevers and draw out boils. There are many more where miraculous healings were performed.

I know a story of an agnostic doctor about 20 years ago, who was going to perform surgery on a Christian patient. The patient asked to pray for the doctor's hands which the doctor agreed to. After the successful surgery, the doctor told the patient that he felt like an invisible force had brought calm and precision to his hands and he had never felt that way and performed a surgery with such precision in any previous surgery he had done. He also became a believer. So in my opinion there is no need to imprison yourself with various doctrines; God can use doctors and medicines too.
