Through a medical misdiagnosis, our children were taken away from us in 2007. We fought for four years to prove our innocence.

In the beginning we did everything except trust in God. We weren't saved then, but were living the psuedo-Christian life. We commanded, rebuked and confessed, until in 2009, God brought me to my senses and broke me. Through the Holy Spirit, I realized that I wasn't in control, and I HAD to submit to God if I wanted my children home.

God opened my eyes to His sovereignty and it was then I realized that He ordained everything...even the rotten and horrible. I submitted and surrendered to His will for me, even if it meant my children would never see home again.

Four years later, and after spending over two million dollars of tax payer's money, the government of Canada lost and we got our children back!

Through tragedies and trials, your only option is to trust in God. You can fight Him and try to "fix things", but you will only end up being frustrated and burnt out.

God's sovereignty dictates that He has complete freedom and control over His vessels and can do as He pleases.

Isaiah tells us that God is the author of the good and evil in this world, and we must submit to this or we will end up being guilty of rebellion against Him.

If you submit to His holy will, then you will find peace in the midst of the storm. You will see God move on your behalf. You will literally see life different than those around you. Your perspectives change and your focus adjusts to see the situation as God sees it. This is true freedom and peace...otherwise if you try to guide the ship through the storm yourself, you will run aground.
