Who is the advocate Jesus says He will send after His ascension to heaven?

Muslims claim that Jesus is talking about Muhammad.

John 16:7

NIV - 7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

This passage of Truth is most beautiful as it describes the duties of the Third Person of the God-head, the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost which did come on the day of Pentecost 120 days after Jesus ascended into Heaven. However, in John 14: 26, Jesus plainly identifies who the Comforter is, and who is going to send Him, and in what Name.

The Comforter is also called the Spirit of Truth, dwelling with us and IN us. How can this be another human? Do you really want another human, with all their frailties, their corrupt heart Mark 7:25, to come and live inside if you? Not me! Jesus wants to live inside of us, so does the Holy Ghost. No other human can fulfill this plan the Father has in place.

The Holy Ghost is a Comforter, a Leader, a Guider, a Teacher, a Recollector, a Reprover, He will Show us the path to take and things to come, He will only Glorify Christ and the Father. This is Someone I love that lives inside of me!

In 1 John 2:1, we find who the true and faithful Advocate is: the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Lamb of God.
No other is needed. Could a blemished human possibly usurp the spotless Lamb of God, to speak with the Holy Father on our behalf? Reason it out.

The Comforter is not the Advocate, Jesus is.

Be Blessed
Lena

First of all, the Holy Spirit(advocate) was what Jesus made clear to his disciples. He told them to go and wait for the Holy spirit (or in other translations, the comforter)

When the comforter came the Bible teaches is Acts that a rushing wind and fire landed on each of them and they spoke in languages (tongues) they did not understand yet others outside knew the language they were speaking? They commented that these men were drunk to which Peter responded how could these men be drunk so early in the morning, many of those outside were amazed stating, these men are but fisherman and unlearned, how is it that they speak in our native tongues? The Holy Spirit is also the most underrated of the trinity yet the Holy Spirit was with God and is God.

The Bible speaks extremely highly of the Holy Spirit, for example the Bible says, if you blaspheme against God the Father or the Son, you will be forgiven but if you blaspheme against the Holy Spirit you will not be forgiven. The Comforter, lives within all true Christians, the spirit guides us and can be in more than one place at one time. Remember, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, all God, all share in the trinity. If you use a family as for example:

The Father, Mother, and son are all part of a family in a human sense, all individuals but have the same goal. The Trinity would be like that except all are perfect and divine. Remember to pray to the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, he loves us and will indeed comfort us. Jesus sent him so we would not be like orphans.
