Some hyper-Calvinists I have spoken to believe that it is okay to hate the non-elect.

They have also embraced mutually contradictory ideas saying that they don't try to reconcile friends.

If Calvinism is true, then man has an excuse for not believing the gospel and being saved.

The bible says man has no excuse. Calvinism gives man an excuse. I was not chosen, therefore it is not my fault. Since God only saves those by His own sovereignty, then man has an excuse. I was not chosen. God did not give me the faith to believe and I have an excuse.

I do not believe God is going to accept that when He wrote John 3:16 First John 2:2, First John 2:4 and Second Peter 3:9.

That pretty much destroys mans excuse.

Data Curtis Elliott I am a husband, father, happily married 40 years.
In Revelation 3:20, Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him and him with me." I believe the election is pure love and Jesus knocking, and it is almost purely overwhelming to our hearts, which merely has to open to the knock. But this election does allow for one's heart's rejection of the knock. It is very very difficult to understand how the human heart could turn away from such overwhelming and agape love that is so evident when it happens. But that is my belief about the human soul's responsibility. So I suppose I do not fully agree with strict Election if it renders us robots instead of humans.
