Ambition usually progresses through the following stages: to be like Dad…to be famous…to be a millionaire…to make enough to pay the bills…to hang on long enough to draw a pension.

Scriptures relating to "ambition" are Mark 10:45 and John 5:44. Jesus was speaking. "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mk 10:45)

"How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?" (Jn 5:44)
