What does it mean, for believers, that God will 'judge the adulterers and the sexually immoral'?

God judges those who have defiled their wedding bed. If we are forgiven
after repenting, what does God' judgement mean?

Hebrews 13:4

ESV - ⁴ Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
