1) Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
2) Teach them [God's Word] to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
3) Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
