In Song of Solomon, why does Solomon talk about the assets of their home in reference to loving his wife?

In my opinion, the interaction between the man and the woman in this poetic passage (Song of Solomon 1:16-17) is taking place out of doors, such as in a forest clearing. That is why the woman speaks of their "couch" as being verdant (or green), as grass would be. When she makes a reference to the beams of their "house" being cedar, she is referring to the trees that surround the clearing, and the "rafters" that she mentions are the pine branches overshadowing the clearing. If there is theological significance to be attached to the passage, it might be in reference to the beauty of the paradise that Christ (represented by the man) has prepared for the church (represented by the woman, His beloved).
