Proverbs 8:12-I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, And I find knowledge and discretion.
Proverbs 12:16-A fool's anger is known at once, But a prudent man conceals dishonor.
Proverbs 14:18-The naive inherit foolishness, But the sensible are crowned with knowledge.

Prudence is common sense. If we know something is a sin, we should choose not to do it. If it is dangerous or mean-spirited, we should not do it.
If we know that our words will hurt some, we should hold our tongue.

I hope this helps Shirley. God Bless you.

Prudence means being careful and sensible, to your needs as well as others. It means using sound judgement. How we get it, and use it in our lives, is by experiences of everyday life.

God gives us all common sense, and the bible is our blueprint of survival on this side of heaven. It starts at home with listening to and honoring your mother and father, he has placed them in our lives to steer us in the right direction.

God first, his word will lead and guide you. If we take the time to look up what the words mean, we will get to know Jesus. Amen
