Poet, Widow, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother

I am a 65-year-old widow, a mother of 4, grandmother of 11, and grt grandmother of 1. I received Christ as my savior as a teenager in the Nazerene Church and was baptized there. Since my husband passed away 2 years ago, I have been faithfully reading and studying the Bible. My mother passed away a year ago, and my father is a WWII veteran who has Alzheimer's. My parents did not give me a formal religious upbringing. I am an abuse survivor who turned to God for love and guidance. I learn something new every day. With his guidance and many years of soul searching, I forgave my parents. Now I try to instill the love of God in my family every day. I am disabled, so I don't get out much, so I do my Bible study and even sing praises at home. I talk to other Christians and non-Christians and know that one day, my faith in our heavenly father will redeem me. For I know we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. My favorite verse is Philippians 4: 13.
