⁹ _u who saved us and _v called us to ₁ a holy calling, _w not because of our works but because of _v his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus _x before the ages began, ₂ ¹⁰ and which now has _y been manifested through _z the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, _a who abolished death and _b brought life and _c immortality to light through the gospel, ¹¹ _d for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher,
