John 7:40-42

Division Among the People

⁴⁰ When they heard these words, _j some of the people said, "This really is _k the Prophet." ⁴¹ Others said, "This is _l the Christ." But some said, _m "Is the Christ to come from Galilee? ⁴² Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes _n from the offspring of David, and comes _o from Bethlehem, the village _p where David was?"
