John 7:40-42

Division Among the People

40 When they heard these words, j some of the people said, "This really is k the Prophet." 41 Others said, "This is l the Christ." But some said, m "Is the Christ to come from Galilee? 42 Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes n from the offspring of David, and comes o from Bethlehem, the village p where David was?"
