John 17:12-16

The High Priestly Prayer

¹² _v While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have _w guarded them, and _x not one of them has been lost except _y the son of destruction, _z that the Scripture might be fulfilled. ¹³ But now _a I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have _b my joy fulfilled in themselves. ¹⁴ _c I have given them your word, and _d the world has hated them _e because they are not of the world, _f just as I am not of the world. ¹⁵ I _g do not ask that you _h take them out of the world, but that you _i keep them from _j the evil one. ₁ ¹⁶ _k They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
