Israel's Shedding of Blood

²⁵ _o The conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is _p like a roaring lion _q tearing the prey; they have devoured human lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in her midst. ²⁶ _r Her priests _s have done violence to my law and _t have profaned my holy things. _u They have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean, and _v they have disregarded my Sabbaths, _w so that I am profaned among them. ²⁷ _x Her princes in her midst are like wolves _y tearing the prey, _z shedding blood, destroying lives to get dishonest gain.
