Deuteronomy 32:15-18

The Song of Moses

¹⁵ "But _n Jeshurun grew fat, and _o kicked;
_p you grew fat, stout, and sleek;
_q then he forsook God _r who made him
and scoffed at _s the Rock of his salvation.
¹⁶ _t They stirred him to jealousy with strange gods;
with abominations they provoked him to anger.
¹⁷ _u They sacrificed to demons that were no gods,
to gods they had never known,
to _v new gods that had come recently,
whom your fathers had never dreaded.
¹⁸ You were unmindful of _w the Rock that bore ₁ you,
and you _x forgot the God who gave you birth.
