1 Thessalonians 2:4-6

Paul's Ministry to the Thessalonians

⁴ but just as we have been approved by God _p to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not _q to please man, but to please God _r who tests our hearts. ⁵ _s For we never came with words of flattery, ₁ as you know, nor with a pretext for greed - _t God is witness. ⁶ _u Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, _v though we could have made _w demands as _x apostles of Christ.
