And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi's house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him.
And He said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground,
He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.
"But I say to you that Elijah has also come, and they did to him whatever they wished, as it is written of him."
"And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
Then as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, "Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!"
Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,
After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country.
Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us,
Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know it;
Now as the people were in expectation, and all reasoned in their hearts about John, whether he was the Christ or not,
Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.
"But rather give alms of such things as you have; then indeed all things are clean to you.
"For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day.
"Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
"And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!'
saying, "Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here.
