Now at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought out the Levites in all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings and singing, with cymbals and stringed instruments and harps.

Judah, Benjamin, Shemaiah, Jeremiah,
After them went Hoshaiah and half of the leaders of Judah,
"(for they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out of Egypt, out of the iron furnace),
also Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer. The singers sang loudly with Jezrahiah the director.
And the sons of the singers gathered together from the countryside around Jerusalem, from the villages of the Netophathites,
Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter.
"then hear in heaven Your dwelling place their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause,

Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.

"O LORD God, do not turn away the face of Your Anointed; Remember the mercies of Your servant David."
Then the priests and Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, the gates, and the wall.
"And now I pray, O God of Israel, let Your word come true, which You have spoken to Your servant David my father.
This was the dedication offering for the altar from the leaders of Israel, when it was anointed: twelve silver platters, twelve silver bowls, and twelve gold pans.
