Judgment on Elam
The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against a Elam, in the b beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,
"Thus says the LORD of hosts:
'Behold, I will break c the bow of Elam,
The foremost of their might.
Against Elam I will bring the four winds
From the four quarters of heaven,
And scatter them toward all those winds;
There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go.
For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies
And before those who seek their life.
d I will bring disaster upon them,
My fierce anger,' says the LORD;
'And I will send the sword after them
Until I have consumed them.
I will e set My throne in Elam,
And will destroy from there the king and the princes,' says the LORD.
'But it shall come to pass f in the latter days:
I will bring back the captives of Elam,' says the LORD."

The sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
All the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes.
There is Elam and all her multitude, All around her grave, All of them slain, fallen by the sword, Who have gone down uncircumcised to the lower parts of the earth, Who caused their terror in the land of the living; Now they bear their shame with those who go down to the Pit.
I saw in the vision, and it so happened while I was looking, that I was in Shushan, the citadel, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision that I was by the River Ulai.
2 Kings 24:17
Then the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin's uncle, king in his place, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
2 Kings 24:18
Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
And it happened in the same year, at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, who was from Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of the LORD in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying.
He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire.
Elam bore the quiver With chariots of men and horsemen, And Kir uncovered the shield.
"I will scatter them also among the Gentiles, whom neither they nor their fathers have known. And I will send a sword after them until I have consumed them."
And say to them, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: "Behold, I will send and bring Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will set his throne above these stones that I have hidden. And he will spread his royal pavilion over them.
Yet I will bring back the captives of Moab In the latter days," says the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.
