Isaiah 53:4-6

He Was Wounded for Our Transgressions

⁴ Surely _e He has borne our ₁ griefs
And carried our ₂ sorrows;
Yet we ₃ esteemed Him stricken,
₄ Smitten by God, and afflicted. ⁵ But He was _f wounded ₅ for our transgressions,
He was ₆ bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His _g stripes ₇ we are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the LORD ₈ has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
