d the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah
God e has gone up with a shout,
the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
For God is f the King of all the earth;
sing praises g with a psalm!
God h reigns over the nations;
God sits on his holy throne.
i The princes of the peoples gather
as the people of the God of Abraham.
For j the shields of the earth belong to God;
he is highly exalted!

Book Two As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.
2 Kings 11:12
Then he brought out the king's son and put the crown on him and gave him the testimony. And they proclaimed him king and anointed him, and they clapped their hands and said, "Long live the king!
For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
There is no easing your hurt; your wound is grievous. All who hear the news about you clap their hands over you. For upon whom has not come your unceasing evil?
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord ; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
1 Samuel 10:24
And Samuel said to all the people, "Do you see him whom the Lord has chosen? There is none like him among all the people." And all the people shouted, "Long live the king!
Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.
Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel - he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!
You shall not be in dread of them, for the Lord your God is in your midst, a great and awesome God.
Cursed be the cheat who has a male in his flock, and vows it, and yet sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished. For I am a great King, says the Lord of hosts, and my name will be feared among the nations.
The God who gave me vengeance and subdued peoples under me.
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.
1 Peter 1:4
To an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
The Lord God has sworn by himself, declares the Lord, the God of hosts: "I abhor the pride of Jacob and hate his strongholds, and I will deliver up the city and all that is in it.
The Lord has sworn by the pride of Jacob: "Surely I will never forget any of their deeds.
For the Lord is restoring the majesty of Jacob as the majesty of Israel, for plunderers have plundered them and ruined their branches.
2 Samuel 6:15
So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the horn.
You ascended on high, leading a host of captives in your train and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that the Lord God may dwell there.
And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and his name one.
1 Corinthians 14:15
What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind also; I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will sing with my mind also.
For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations.
1 Chronicles 16:31
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, "The Lord reigns!
May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him!
Thus says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One, to one deeply despised, abhorred by the nation, the servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall prostrate themselves; because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.
Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. With their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you, and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord ; those who wait for me shall not be put to shame.
For our shield belongs to the Lord, our king to the Holy One of Israel.
