Christian Military, retired Teacher and Horse Whisperer.
My Christian life began at birth with Baptism. It faded to the background as I tore through life in the 60's and early 70's.
I was raised Lutheran. My parents and others left the local congregation as they felt strongly about practices that were at odds with the Bible. They joined the CLC (Church of the Lutheran Confession) while I went along for the ride.
During my time in the military I met my wife, a practicing Catholic, who was disappointed in several of the church's core beliefs. She was also, disheartened by a lack of individual use of the Bible which was caused by no Bible use lessons in daily religion classes throughout her education during Catholic elementary and Catholic high school years.
When we married she disavowed the Catholic church and joined the CLC. God blessed me with a Christian wife whose fervent beliefs revitalized my dormant Christian faith, being blessed by the Holy Spirit and awakened to a renewed interest and understanding of God and His plans for us.
So here we are today, fifty years later, both Christians with faith in God looking forward to a time where we will spend eternity in God's Presence.
"I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify Your name forever." Psalm 86:12 ESV
