Peggy Carter

Musician and teacher

Born in a Baptist preacher's home and born again into the family of Christ at an early age. Dedicated my life to Vocational Christiam service as a teenager and majored in music to become a music educator and Church Music Director. 

During my career I have served as Music Director and guest artist in churches across the US and have worked in the public schools at every grade level, teaching classroom music and directing vocal and instrumental groups. 

I learned to play the dulcimer, both the Appalachian Mt. Dulcimer and the Hammer Dulcimer.... As well as the Autoharp and other unique folk instruments. Since 1990 I have performed, competed and taught dulcimer workshops and seminars in the US and abroad. 

Even though I am now "retired" I continue to perform and teach, and sing in my church choir and sing and play in some other ensembles that share in community and church events and in nursing homes and retirement communities. I continue to study God's Word and share opinions and insights in discussion groups and on my web site.
