I am a wife of 23 years to The. Best. Man. I've ever met (Jesus excluded!)--he is also the smartest and most thoughtful person I know; mother of 3 wildly different and PRECIOUS children--19, 16 and 10--that we are doing our best to train up in the LORD; trained and practicing endocrinologist (hormones, diabetes, thyroid); women's & children's ministry leader and worship leader; wrestler of faith; vessel of the Holy Spirit.  I struggle as a recovering feminist and Pharisee (emphasis on recovering), therefore with legalism and sinful pride.  It is a daily battle that I must die to self and live for Christ. I fail miserably many days, but thank God for His Grace (and my husband's, too!!!)

Eater of Mexican and Tex-Mex (and cook too), seamstress extraordinaire (made my own wedding dress 23 years ago), I embroider and love all things craftsy and beautiful.  I am a DIY-er and along with my husband, flip houses on the side of my medical practice and his construction business.

I love a good joke and to laugh & make others laugh, but I revere the Word and know when to get serious.  I know the Word and have been studying it since I was in the womb, which is characteristic of people brought up in the Church of Christ, my faith tradition.  I am a jack-of-all-trades, master of some, and find more and more that each of these aspects of my life serve to sanctify me to the LORD. 

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right Spirit within me.
