What does the seed represent in this verse: "And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it."?

Leviticus 26:16

AMP - 16 I will do this: I will appoint over you [sudden] terror (trembling, trouble), even consumption and fever that consume and waste the eyes and make the [physical] life pine away. You shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

NET © Notes	on Leviticus 26:16

1 tn Or “I also” (see HALOT 76 s.v. אַף 6.b).

2 tn Heb “and.” The Hebrew conjunction ו (vav, “and”) can be considered to have a causal force here.

3 tn That is, “your enemies will eat” the produce that grows from the sown seed.

And ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. — I take this literally (agriculturally). Besides these terrible diseases, the production of the soil, which is necessary for the sustenance of life, and which is to be so abundant and secure against enemies when the Israelites obey the Divine commandments (see Leviticus 26:4-6), will be carried off by strangers. Similar threatenings in case of disobedience are to be found both in the Pentateuch (Deut. 28:33, 51) and in the prophets (strikingly, Jeremiah 5:17). Another parallel is the one in Micah, “Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil” (Micah 6:15).

and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it; either eat it up for forage before it is ripe or, if ripe and gathered in the barn, should come and besiege their cities and plunder their granaries.

As Gods Children, we sow the word of God and expect answers...harvest....but if we are disobedient, our seed goes to waste. The evil one is permitted to trample upon the seed like we see in Judges 6. When the Israelites did evil against God and God allowed the Amalikites to deal with them.....Judges 6:1-6 KJV
[1] And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord : and the Lord delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.
[2] And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds. [3] And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;

[4] And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.
5] For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.
[6] And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the Lord.
