During the coronavirus pandemic, I'd often quote a "protection verse" from the Scriptures to my coworkers. Of course, I would have to intimate that God's protection applies to His own, believers.

I think the Wisdom literature of the Bible offers the most comfort on the topic of protection:

Ec. 7:12:
For wisdom provides protection, just as money provides protection. But the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves the life of its owner.
Psa. 143:9:
Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD! I run to you for protection.
Ec. 7:19:
Wisdom gives a wise person more protection than ten rulers in a city.
Psa. 17:7:
Accomplish awesome, faithful deeds, you who powerfully deliver those who look to you for protection from their enemies.
Psa. 61:4:
I will be a permanent guest in your home; I will find shelter in the protection of your wings. (Selah)
