Job 1:9-11

This is where Satan challenged God through His faithful servant Job.

"So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

That is just one example of Satan challenging God. There are many other stories and examples such as the Fall of Man in Genesis 3 where the serpent challenged God's Word.

Mark 1:12,13: "Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness. And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him."

This is also reported in Matthew 4:1-11, and Luke 4:1-13.

Temptation by Satan is something that all believers face. However, Jesus triumphed completely over the adversary. Only in Mark is it recorded that the angels were with Jesus/God.
