Genesis 1:27 states: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." The question arises, What is the image of God? Christ told the Samaritan woman in John 4:24 "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." Aside from the Savior's many theophany (pre-incarnate appearances) and before his incarnation, God exists in spirit form. I believe Adam and Eve's spirit was first created and in Genesis 2:7 we have the account of The Lord making man's physical body. "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

When God created animals, He did not just created a pair of each species in the forests. He also did not create just a pair of every species of fish in the large rivers and seas, or birds to populate the skies. Just imagine, what ever was created, It was written, that God was very pleased with His creation. Same way, God also not only created 2 people to live in this earth. Being social beings, God would create many people to inhabit this world. So God made the world a happy place to live in. Eventually, in the second chapter of Genesis, God decided to select and formed a man out of dust. He was formed, not created (which means, made out of nothing). His name was Adam. His descendants became God's chosen people amidst other peoples in the world.

Of course He did. God is the Creator of everything. John 1 is just one reference that confirms this. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made." All the babies constantly being born into the world are created by God. As for the Genesis account, God explicitly created only two people at the time: Adam and Eve. (Genesis 1:27 and Genesis 2:22)

Begin with the premise that the Genesis creation account is literal and not allegory. Genesis tells us God created an order of things. He created Adam, then Eve from Adam's side. After which He said, "be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth." Gen. 1: 28. In other words, the physical and biological relationship was put into motion to fulfill the work of populating the earth. Note also that God granted a limited sovereignty and responsibility to Adam and Eve to rule over other living creatures It is certainly true that God is intimately involved in every forming of human life so the question has an abstract side. I would advocate that a sound biblical reading and logic would show that there can be only one creation of man, a man, singular, out of the earth, The difference of the creation of Adam over other people is that Adam had no precursor, no relative. He was a new being, unique and set apart for God's purposes It is also important to understand that Adam and Eve had other children and most lived for extraordinarily long lives to aid in populating the earth. So the people that Cain may have feared were his relatives who had also felt the condemning effect of the curse of sin. This question is also used by skeptics to discredit the literal view of Genesis. It is from this skepticism that questions such as, "Does day (Yom) mean 24 hours," Is a year the same then as now? Did they really live 300, 400, 500, 600 or more years? Presumptively, these questions arise from the obvious contradiction of evolutionary theory that inserts tension and doubt into biblical assertions about the days of creation. Science postulates the theory that life came up out of the sea and/or that man came from apes. This isn't what the bible says and it completely contradicts the Creation account. I will put it another way. Evolution is presented as chance. Genesis says God created deliberately and intentionally for His purposes. Man is not the next version of an ape or ape hybrid. If it were possible for man to come up out of the sea (still contradictory), both male and female would have had to arrive at the same time, fully formed and functional, and ready to reproduce. They could not have survived as infants. And to be 200 or 300 miles apart would put enormous pressure on them to find each other without knowing they should even be looking. So the initial creating of Adam from the dust of the earth was a one time event. Eve from Adam's side is a one time event. After that the God created process for perpetuation was sexual reproduction. As psalm 139:13 says God formed our inward parts and covers us in the womb, so he still creates but not the same as Adam and Eve, who were initially innocent.

There is no question that YHVH/Creator God/Jesus created Adam & Eve. This narrative only traces the genealogy of where Jesus Christ came from; see Matt.1:1-17. and by extension Abraham is traced to Adam. This account helps us understand how this man Jesus' death is imputed to ALL, through Adam, as in "... Adam sinned so sin entered into the world and all sinned and died" (Romans 5). But, the Genesis account of human creation does not necessarily exclude humans before Adam was created. Archeologist finds corroborate facts of humans about 15,000-30,000 years ago, way before Adam was created. Still, sin of Adam is imputed to ALL, before or after Adam; as Jesus' death is imputed to ALL. It does not matter an iota, whether there are other humans created as ALL default to Adam and Jesus.

In chapter one of Genesis, before the story of Adam and Eve in chapter two, the Bible says God created mankind. Male and female created He them. He also created lots of other things that day. In chapter two, God planted a garden. The Bible does not say he created a garden. He planted one. Then he placed Adam in the garden to tend it, had Adam name all creatures and put Adam to sleep. All this before he made Eve. Seems like a really long 24 hours to me. (Of course I do not believe the first 7 days were 24 hours long anyway for lots of reasons including that the sun and moon were not created the first couple of days) We then find that when Adam and Eve's sons were old enough there were already wive's for them outside the garden. Also there were enough other people that God had to warn them not to kill Cain. There was also the land of Nod that was already populated. None of this is contradictory. God created mankind. He placed the first man, Adam in the garden of Eden. When God created whales and sea creatures, he sent them throughout the earth on I think, the 3rd day. (Also I believe longer than 24 hours). It only follows he would do the same with people. So yes, in my opinion, God created many other people than just Adam and Eve.

Nothing in the Bible explicitly states Cain married his sister. Also, the Bible does say that Cain met his wife outside of Eden.

After Cain murdered his brother, when God appeared before him, rebuking him, Cain told God that he was worried that someone would find him and kill him. (Genesis 4:15) If there was only his mother, father, and siblings on the planet, then who would he be worried would find him? Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. Here, if there were no other people, God would not have given him a mark so that no one who found him would kill him. From this story, it is clear that there were other people besides Adam, Eve, and Cain on earth. In addition, in Genesis 4:16, Cain went out from the Lord's presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden and Cain lay with his wife. This also provides an additional evidence that there were other people present in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

There is no question that a single human being called Adam can be traced in genealogy back to about 4,000 BC in the Masoretic text or about 5,000 BC in the Septuagint text. The problem is why would Adam be referred to both by his given name and also by the word 'man'? In the verses for the sixth day of creation and later, 'man' is simply the translation for 'adam' with a lower case 'a'. It is understood to be in the plural sense. In fact, the name Adam first appears only after the end of the sixth day, where he names the animals and woman is created (Gen 2:19-23). Interspersing Adam and adam within the Genesis scriptures does create difficulties in interpretation. Reading the Genesis account literally, before or concurrent with Adam there may have been 'adams' or those who were highly similar, if not identical to, Adam. Some misguided commentators have seized upon the fact that since Adam must have had white skin, all races with non-white skin were originally of the animal creation during the sixth day. Aberrations of this sort can occur with those not given the light of the Holy Spirit. Since the Mosaic revelation was meant to reveal the law and the nature of sin, rather than the unvarnished, non-euphemistic truth about human origins, we can't say much very definitely about any particular aspect of it based on Genesis. It is to Jesus we look to for grace and truth, and through him we will eventually know the truth about Adam and 'adam' since nothing that is hidden will not be revealed (Matt 10:26).

According to the book of Genesis chapter 1-2, there were two kinds of man who were a living creatures (Genesis 1: 24; Ecclesiastes 3: 18-21), and a ruler of the living creatures who knew and had a close relationship with God (Genesis 1: 26-28). In the creation days, God did create not just creations, but the nature and a social life system as well; as God saw all that He had made, and it was very good; in other words, since God created man in his own image to became a ruler, there must be other men/people need to be ruled. In Mark 16: 15-17 Jesus said: " Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned"; this passage identifying people around the world as a living creature who were created in the creation days. (Genesis 1: 24).

Yes, of course God created more humans other than Adam and Eve. The anthropologists have discovered nine human species from fossil skeletal remains, dwellings, tools and paintings. The related Denisovans inhabited Asia, while the more primitive Homo erectus lived in Indonesia, and Homo rhodesiensis in central Africa. Several short, small-brained species survived alongside them: Homo naledi in South Africa, Homo luzonensis in the Philippines, Homo floresiensis (“hobbits”) in Indonesia, and the mysterious Red Deer Cave People in China. Given how quickly we’re discovering new species, more are likely waiting to be found." Nationalpost.com The biologists have identified different DNA for African Homo Sapiens, European Neanderthal and Asian Denisovan human genes. Humans today have traces of these different genes in their genomes. Based upon DNA evidence, it's clear there were at least three human species God created male and female in His image on the sixth day of creation. They were told to be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth. Genesis 1:27 This cannot refer to Adam and Eve who were formed and placed in a garden - not told to fill the earth. After resting on the seventh day, God created a garden in Eden, formed Adam from dirt, and made Eve from one of Adam's ribs. Adam and Eve were expelled only to keep them from eating from the Tree of Life and living forever. Genesis 3:23 The accounts in Scripture of the creation of man (male and female) on he sixth day and the account of the forming of Adam are so different they must be separate creations hundreds of thousands of years apart in time. Adam is the first man in the sense he is the first in the line of Noah. Noah and his family although Homo Sapiens, still had some amount of Neanderthal and Denisovan genes.
