The bible says "let everything be established in the mouth of 2or 3 witnesses". Many churches teach "plans of salvation"and tell us how to receive salvation but cannot show "2 or 3" or even 1example of a single individual actually doing what they are telling us to risk our eternal soul on. You can tell me to stand on my head and say the lords prayer and I'll be saved but until you show me in the scripture someone actually doing it that way I'll always have room for doubt.

The book of Acts is literally "the acts of the apostles," so if you want to be completely sure of your salvation study the book of Acts and find out what the men who walked and talked with our Lord did and told others to do. Then you can rest assured that you have built your house on the foundation that was laid by none other than the one to whom Jesus said "I give you the keys to the kingdom, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven". This was Peter and he knew much better what Jesus wanted for us than any preacher or teacher or bible scholar alive today!

We find in Acts what it was that Peter preached on the very first day of the church. So if you want to "make your calling and election sure" read the 2nd chapter of Acts and don't let anyone tell you it's different today than it was then.

My question to those who say its different today is: When did it change? Every example we have of ANYONE being saved in Gods word after the church was born we see that they followed what Peter preached in acts 2 and not a single person being saved according to what some interpret as "the roman road"!

Even Paul himself found BELIEVERS who had not received the holy ghost but had been baptized and when he found out they had not been baptized IN THE NAME OF JESUS he rebaptized them. So contrary to popular opinion, according to this scripture you don't receive the holy spirit when you believe and Paul felt so strongly about it that he laid hands on them and the they received the holy ghost then were baptized again. Study to show thyself approved unto God!
