Is there worship without sacrifice?

Does "sacrificing one's time" count as worship?
Is "singing a song while praying" worship?

Is worship abstract? Or does it require a concrete sacrifice?

The real problem is being guilty of Worshiping God IN VAIN: not drawing to God of the Heart; in spirit and in TRUTH (Matthew 15:8-9)(John 4:24). Some of this is in direct relation with people worshiping God according to traditions of men, false doctrines passed down from pagan beliefs, and flat out idolatry in Jesus names. As far as Singing, clapping, jumping, dancing, or even praying goes - these are simply FORMS of worship.

Worship is summed up in OBEDIENCE to Jesus Christ. This in turn, is SERVICE to others. Jesus said

"And why do you call Me Lord, Lord (PRAISE & WORSHIP), and do not do what I say?" (Luke 6:46)

To do what he says is when we serve others: that is "Worship" to God. We OBEY Christ commandments to (1)Love our neighbor as ourselves, (2)love our enemies, and (3)love one another, as He loves us, through which, we Love God. And we love our neighbor in the manner that Christ illustrated in the parable of the Good Samaritan. That parable displays the principle of How we Love our neighbor and God. With eyes to see and ears to hear - this is the Worship that God seeks. Anything else is a show of Religion. John goes so far as to say, he who says, "I Love God" BUT hates his brother - HE IS A LIAR. Love and service to others is obedience to Christ, which is Worship. (Matthew 25:34-40) -- (Luke 10:27, 29, 36-37) -- (Matthew 5:44) -- (John 15:12) -- 1 John 4:20

As far as Sacrifice: yes, we offer up "sacrifices" of Praise, which is also a form of worship, giving thanks to his name. But it goes back to how we treat others.

Hebrews 13:15-16
But do not be forgetful of DOING GOOD and SHARING, for God is well pleased with SUCH SACRIFICES

James shows it's possible that out of the same mouth we can "bless God" one moment and "curse men" the next. Praise, Worship, Sacrifice, etc is in truth, a SUBMISSIVE OBEDIENCE in Love and Service to our fellow man. And plays a lot in our words to others as well. If one does not bridle his tongue, his religion is in vain, and he deceives his own heart (which in turn, makes his WORSHIP IN VAIN) (James 3:9-10) -- (James 1:26-27) -- (Mark 7:6-7)
