Why didn't God see that 'it was good' after the second day of creation?
For each day, God "saw that it was good" except the second day. For the first day, God still said the light was good, but God did not make any comments about the second day

Even before the creation of the earth there were satanic beings who could, and actually did, live in the region named Heaven on the second day. Heaven in its higher dimensional aspect has always been an extensive place containing diverse kinds of beings. This is why it wasn't originally called good at the end of the second day. Fortunately there has been a continuing purification of Heaven over the millennia as these beings contrary to the Will and Word of God are cast out (Rev. 12:3-4, 7-9) down to earth or Hell.

In gen 1:1, God Created the Heavens and Earth The Kingdom of heaven belongs to God, while God destined Man to have dominion over the earth and the content that belonged to God (Gen 1:26-28; 1 Cor 10:26). For God, the Heaven is a natural space for Him to habituate. But the bible is not about heaven, it is about God's plan on expanding His Kingdom on Earth (from the unseen expanse to the visible world). Genesis 1-2 explains God's original Intent. Starting from Genesis 3, it tells how man wrecked the plan, and God's [other] plan to restore the original intent. It was not mentioned "good" in the second day because it was written in the bible [not history] to depict God's plan about the earth and the kingdom. The "good" is meant for God's perspective of expansion (earth), not for Heaven. Why is it about the Kingdom? Because that's what God intended for man and earth. After the old testament was closed by the death of the last prophet, Jesus (the Christ) began to preach : Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand, and He ordered (sent) the disciple to do the same. The reason is quite simple. God didn't actually create anything the second day, He only moved things around.
