You are the temple of God. The Triune God not only dwells objectively in the heavens but also dwells subjectively within a person who has been born of spirit. God the father is in us (Eph.4:6), Christ is in us (2Cor.13:5) and the Spirit is in us (Rom.8:11). The type of temple in the Old Testament is fully realized in the New Testament in relation to Christians individually (1Cor.3:16,6:19) and to the church corporately. (Eph.2:21). The three-fold division of the temple with the outer court, holy place and the holy of the holiest is the clear picture of tripartite nature of man complete with the Holy Spirit dwelling in the inner most part of a Christian with his regenerated human spirit. The presence of man in the outer court or even in the Holy place was not sufficient to bring him into contact with God. There was a need to pass through the veil in order to be brought into the presence of God. In Hebrew, Paul says ' come forward to the Holy of Holies with a true heart in the full assurance of faith (Hebrew.10:22)
