Did the Apostle Paul, during his travels, earn money while preaching?
How did he finance his travels and the costs of food, sleeping quarters, clothing, etc?

I understand that around 49 A.D. Claudius Cesar expelled both orthodox and Christian Jews from Rome. As a result of the expulsion the Apostle Paul met Priscilla and Aquila in Corinth who were tent makers (Acts 18:1-3) Acts 18:3 "And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers." "Of the same craft", "he abode with them", "wrought", "tentmakers" indicates that Paul also was a tentmaker by trade and that he spent a substantial amount of time living with Priscilla and Aquila most probably earning a living and funding his missionary work. Side note: It is amazing to see the outworking of God's eternal plan and purpose in action. Paul no doubt shared his experiences and most importantly the gospel of grace and revelations of the "mysteries" he so frequently wrote of. No doubt Priscilla and Aquila were well schooled by the beloved apostle. In v. 24-26 we read concerning a great orator named Apollos, who was "mighty in the scriptures" Although mighty, he was taken aside by two lowly tentmakers who "expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly".
