2 Timothy 3:13-14 really elaborates on the end times that we are living in. It states that evil men will wax worse and worse, being deceived and deceiving others. You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them. It is so easy to get discouraged by the crime and wickedness that is spreading throughout our nation and the world. However we have a blue print of what is to come upon the earth (the word of God). These are the days and times to stay word up! The Lord gives us certain scriptures to comfort and edify us thru these trying times. Isaiah 41-13-14 states “For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand, who says to you, 'Do not fear, I will help you.' Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel; I will help you," declares the LORD, "and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.” Then the word of God states “be steadfast unmovable always abounding the work of the Lord knowing that your labor is not in vain”. 1 Corinthians 15:58 And lastly Psalms 91 states “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will abide in the shadow of the Almighty…A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it (the evil, traps and snares) shall not approach you…" Amen! The goodness of God in our life was never affected by the presence of evil, from the day of the fall of Adam and Eve, the salvation of Children of Israel, the death of Jesus Christ, the world wars, up to this very present 21st century. There is ample proof in the word of God that God was ever present and still is, even when evil seems to prevail. It's unfortunate that we are bitter with God when evil abounds because we want to believe that God should have dealt with all evil in a more effective way that results in us not being on the receiving end of what evil has brought upon us. God could have eliminated Adam and Eve when they disobeyed, and then started all over again by creating perfect beings, and besides that, the wages of their disobedience demanded them to die in their sinfulness. But God's love and grace were more than the price for their sin, and even though it was their conscious choice to disobey, God dressed their nakedness after they threw away the robe of God's righteousness. (Genesis 3:14) We blame God even for the bad things that happen around as result of our choices (Proverbs 19:3) Being Christian does not mean no evil befalls us. We will get a fair share of the effects of the evil in the world. But the secret is, God reminds us that as active members who have the freedom to chose whether to stand by God or not, we must not say, "I am tempted by God when tempted," for God cannot be tempted with evil (dice around with evil), neither does he tempt man. (James 1:13) But, in that situation, we must understand that no temptation will overtake you that is not common to man. God is faithful and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with temptation, he will also provide the way of escape that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13) This is a promise, and God is not man that he should lie (Numbers 23:19). It paints the picture that He is on our side and is for us no matter what it is we struggle with(God's goodness).The devil is the enemy. We need to believe this promise and allow his goodness to follow us all the days of our lives (Psalms 23:6) even when evil may seem to weigh on us.

The goodness of God is that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus to die for sinners which we all are, Romans 3:23 and Romans 3:10. Jesus paid the price for our sin debt so we would not have to go to hell to pay our sin debt. John 3:18 Believers are no longer condemned to hell, but unbelievers are condemned already. We all deserve to go to hell because one sin would send us to hell forever because we have no way to pay the debt. But Jesus, Just because He loved us paid for the sins of the whole world, so that any one who would accept his free gift of eternal Life would be saved. First John 2:2 And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. The gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4 That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures. The second we believe that gospel we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise. No longer condemned The GIFT of God is eternal life. We did nothing to deserve it. He saved us just because He loved us. He paid our sin debt in full, past, present, and future sins, and imputes His perfect righteousness to us apart from works. Our works can not save sinners. Romans 4:5-8. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, and we all sin, First John 1:8, and we all die, but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. This life is short, but eternity is forever. Our sin debt is paid and we have eternal life. John 6:40 John 6:47.
