The New Jerusalem Bible is a Catholic Bible. It contains the deuterocanonical books. My opinion is that the translation is a bit modern, as compared to the Douay-Rheims (another Catholic Bible), which is literal.

Comparing Gen 3:15:
(DR) I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed
(NJB) I shall put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers

"Spermatos" (Greek for seed) is translated as "offspring" in NJB for modern readers, while DR keeps "seed", as sort of a prophesy for Mary's virgin birth of Christ without any man's "seed".
