It means a statement of our recognition of the Kingdom of Heaven and our Father in Heaven is the one and only source for us, the children of God (John 1: 12-13) to fulfill our daily needs, and we will never go off and worship other gods as the idol worshipers do for their daily needs (Mathew 4: 8-10).

If we meditate on the Lord's Prayer (Mathew 6: 9-13), beside it is taught us how we should pray. This is a genuine creed taught by Jesus to all of his disciples and to all of us, the believers and followers of Jesus.

The portion of the prayer which our Lord taught us (vide Mt 6:11) as per the Syriac version is 'Haab laan lahmo d'sunkonaan yawmono' and it means " Give us the bread we need for this day."

The concern of a true believer is for his bread just for this day. He is not concerned about his bread for tomorrow or the day after tomorrow and so on. If he is alive tomorrow he can very well pray tomorrow for the bread he would need for tomorrow.and the Heavenly Father would provide him with the bread he would need for tomorrow. That is to say the prayer for the bread for tomorrow is due only tomorrow.

Thus our concern should be only for today's bread.
