John 17. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. As you can see, Judas had a destiny and that destiny was to betray Christ. He was a vessel of wrath destined by God for perdition or destruction. (Rom. 9.22) Christ obviously knew this and did not attempt to save him. We have destinies predetermined by God, some are fitted for destruction (like Judas) and some are fitted for salvation.
