We need to include the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the criteria because only then could an individual be considered Christ-like.

John 20:22 "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:" 
Upon receiving the Holy Spirit the disciples became the first Christians.
