There is no reason to believe other material universes exist. Scientists have suggested that idea because there are so many problems trying to explain life on our planet without God. The "just right" existence of our physical universe, life on earth, and the problems of finding indications of life elsewhere in our galaxy--those combine to make life without God too complicated in any form that we can imagine. Therefore, they conceive of another universe with different physical laws where life without God is easier to explain.
