The question is not whether it is biblical but perhaps can it be used for biblical production. Meaning, does it make a difference if it is or is not biblical but if someone goes there and receives Jesus as Savior then it accomplished a world of good.

Some values of attending a christian camp are;
Time in the word
Learning what the bible says
Developing lasting relationships with others like yourself
Learning to bless others
Learning about yourself in a biblical environment
Allowing time for God to make a difference in your life
Getting exposed to the Word or most importantly getting saved

I highly value my years at week-long Christian camps and weekend/holiday Christian retreats. I am talking about the Young Life Camps I attended while I was in high school. We had Young Life Club and Campaigners during the week in our hometown, but the camp was held out of town at some scenic and quiet location.

This was a perfect, "isolated" setting of drawing us to God. The tall muscular man who was to become my mentor for my high school years was the counselor in my boys' cabin. What he remembers about me during the camp was that I was always the first one to go to bed in the bunk beds after the talk in the chapel. That I appeared not to be listening as the counselor would review what was said in the chapel. (I had pulled my blanket up over my head). But I was listening evidently! And became saved from my sin, and back home, under Darrow's leadership, began growing in Christ!
