Amos was a prophet of the 8th century BC distraught over Israel's sin and idolatry and was pronouncing judgment on the northern kingdom. This prophecy preceded the eventual destruction of Jerusalem and Babylonian captivity. There was approximately a 400 year period of time between Malachi and Matthew which God was essentially silent, no word from God. This period is probably the fulfillment of Amos's prophecy.

I haven't read all the English versions of the Bible and didn't know there are over 200 translations. I've read parts of at least 20 versions and found little conflicting information in them so I don't know which versions you refer to. In all there are 554 languages into which the Christian Bible has been translated.

I don't see a connection at all between how many Bible versions there are and Amos' prophecy. JD is most probably right in suggesting it may have been fulfilled during God's silence between Malachi and Matthew's gospel.

It could also be a statement about today's world where people don't understand God's Word and are hungering for someone(s) to explain it to them.

Unlike the US, where atheism and other false gods (polytheistic religions) are drawing people away from God, many people in other parts of the world are desperate for answers to their problems which can only be found in Jesus and need to hear the Gospel message.

Do not be dismayed, nor worry about anything because Jesus is in control of everything and will lead you where He wants you to go if by faith you trust Him. 

In Matthew 6:25-26 Jesus says this, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?"

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

Read Ephesians 1:18-21 which precede the Scripture below and says Jesus was there in control in that 'present age' and His Covenant of Grace is the 'age' that continues today.

The Father put Jesus over everything, Ephesians 1:22-23, 'And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church','which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.'

I am not sure we can link the versions of the bible available today with this scripture. However, I am certain that there will come a time when we may not have access to the bible even in all the versions. Therefore we need to have the word of GOD in our hearts. 

What about conflicting versions - I am not really sure that we have conflicting versions but I must say that I am glad that as a Christian, I can know that our scripture is not controlled. This means it can always be verified by the number of copies we have available to us. Having said this, I am aware that some bibles have been revised to satisfy some doctrines that is unbiblical e.g. John 1:1 - Most versions will say that JESUS is confirmed to be GOD in this scripture but the JW version of the bible refers to the word as a god. This leads to a major problem in presenting Christianity as a polytheistic belief and yet all mainstream Christians will uphold that Christianity is monotheistic.

The variations in some versions is explained by the footnotes. We know today that Erasmus who was in a hurry to translate the latin vulgate into the KJV added some texts because it made sense to him at that time. When other older manuscripts were found, this was picked up. Is not GOD amazing.
