How do we prove that the Bible is the truth?

How do we prove that our Bible is the right one? By showing history? By when the religion was created? And what other ways can we prove it?

We know that the bible is true by the Holy Spirit whom God has made to dwell in us. He is also the author of the Word of God (Bible). 1 peter 1:21......not by the will of man but holy men spoke, as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 3:5 the knowledge of God has been revealed by the Holy Spirit to the holy prophets.

The bible in john16:13 declares that the holy spirit shall led you into all truth; He shall not speak of Himself but whatsoever He hears that shall He speak... And He also brings to our remembrance all what Jesus Christ said. Hallelujah!!!

The question is " how do we prove that The Bible is true?".

Well, another question pops into my mind.... why would we need to attempt such a thing?

The apostle Paul told young pàstor Timothy to follow in his footsteps and teach the word of God to other trustworthy people who will then pass the truth on to others. He told Timothy that those truths that he had taught had been confirmed by reliable witnessess.

He went on to say to him that Jesus Christ, a descendant of King David was raised from the dead, and that is the Good News that he was preaching, which is why he was in chains. This is found in 2Timothy chpt 2. Verse 9b: But the word of God cannot be chained.

He tells the young pastor to remind everyone of the truth about Jesus Christ and to refrain from arguing about the truth. He says in verse 14 that such arguments are useless and can ruin those who hear them.

He goes on to tell Timothy in subsequent verses of that same chpt. To be patient with difficult people, and to "gently" instruct those who oppose the truth, and that "perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will learn the truth".

I once heard it said that the truth was like a lion, the king of the jungle. Whoever heard of having to protect a lion? Just untie him and let him go free.... He'll protect himself.

We have confidence to say that the Bible is truth - because the Church authoritatively declared it as truth.

The Church formally declared the inspired books of the Bible and we, members of the Church, give our trust to her decision. Christ protects his Church from teaching error, and this is the divine source of our confidence.
