Broken relationship
Rom 8:28 God is working all things together for good to those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purpose. It may not always seem so! Sometimes when we are suffering heartbreak, tragedy, disappointment, frustration, and bereavement, we wonder what good can come out of it. But the following verse gives the answer: whatever God permits to come into our lives is designed to conform us to the image of His Son. When we see this, it takes the question mark out of our prayers. Our lives are not controlled by impersonal forces such as chance, luck, or fate, but by our wonderful, personal Lord, who is “too loving to be unkind and too wise to err.”

My usual advice in this situation is very simple yet hard to do. Simply pray FOR the one that broke your heart. Not that God punish them but that God bless them. God will use this to bless you once you can get to the point of meaning it with all your heart.

To this I will add a piece of advice from Charles Allen book "God's Psychiatry". In it he prescribes the 23rd Psalm and his prescription must be followed exactly. It is to read (not recite), carefully, meditative and prayerfully the 23rd Psalm 5 times a day for 7 days. He insist that you take it just as prescribed. Read it first thing right after you awake in the morning, again after breakfast, after lunch, after dinner and again just before bed. Do not hurry. Take time to think about each phrase. He promises that after just one week, things will be different. It has been tried many times and produces results. But don't cheat and read it five times in the morning or recite it after you know it. Follow the prescription just as if your Doctor prescribed a medication. The 23rd Psalm is a pattern of thinking that changes lives. The power is not in reading the words, rather in thinking the thoughts. Try it.
