My opinion is that these horseman represent four great wars that are to come upon the earth in the future. The scroll written on both sides represents the covenant for the 1,000 year reign of Christ, but the seals must be opened gradually over time since the Kingdom of God will eventually cover the entire earth, but not through violence. The seals are opened after the wars, not before, in response to the nature of the wars, in order to preserve and proliferate the Kingdom. The first seal deals with freedom of religion. The man on the white horse represents the leaders who successfully defeat the forces of persecution of Christianity. They are given a crown to rule in the name of Christ since at that time legitimate government leaders and organized religious leaders do not exist. At this time Christ has ascended to the Father's throne to rule the Kingdom.These leaders on earth are the beginnings of the man-child. Unfortunately, it appears likely that these conditions may be coming to pass in this century after World War III. The red horse pertains to political freedom, the right to choose political leaders for nations in addition to those leaders representing the Kingdom of God as a whole (the man-child). The red color also pertains to the color of the 10-horned beast of Rev 17:4 at the time of Mystery Babylon and its influence upon the Kingdom at that time The black horse is concerned with economic equality between nations and religions and represents the war which destroys Mystery Babylon by fire (Rev 17:16). The idea is equal pay for equal work, no matter who the person is, and the idea that there must be a minimum standard of living for everyone within the Kingdom, so that poverty and destitution will be eradicated. The pale (or pale green in some translations) horse represents the freedom to introduce alien thinking and dna into the Kingdom through human-alien hybrids and other modifications to plant and animal life for one quarter of the earth (Rev 6:8); there is Death and Hell otherwise. This war begins with the beast (the little horn of Dan 7:8) and false prophet, and continues through the Great Tribulation and the time of Jacob's Trouble. There are two other seals, but the most important is the seventh and last seal (Rev 8:1) which Christ delivers personally at his second coming to judge the nations and slay the antichrist. This seal reveals the permanent form of the Kingdom of God and also somewhat modifies the previous seals. The seven trumpets of Rev 8:2 begin before the seventh seal and announce certain disasters to befall the earth before Christ returns.
