As seen in the past street gangs bring about trouble and confusion, and generally nothing is achieved by belonging to one and wearing their symbols. The Bible says to shun the very appearance of evil. And in another place, the Psalmist writes to place all of our trust upon the Lord, and He will direct our paths, therefore no need to place any trust in man, or even a group of men(gangs) as the end result can lead to disillusionment and despair.
